Over the last year R.I.S.E Edutainment (@rise_edt) has been mentoring 8 emerging Black artists from across Ontario in a Residency Program where they had the opportunity to become Legal Artivists. They learned how to apply the law as a life skill from lawyers and law educators. Next, they applied this knowledge to produce a mixtape of poetic, musical and visual works of art. They will now take stage and edutain: educating people on their legal rights while entertaining intelligent souls everywhere.
