Akintoye has been making a name for himself as a bombastic performer with his charismatic energy, intricate lyricism, and comedic flair. The Nigeria-born, Toronto-based rapper was recognized in 2022 as a Black TikTok Trailblazer following the viral success of mental-health anthem “Pizzazz” which has been streamed more than 12 million times and was named a top song that year by Complex, CBC, and Spotify Canada among others. Throughout his career, Akintoye has released 3 albums — Vertigo (2020), Centerpiece (2021), Anxiety & Circumstance (2022) — and a string of independent singles including “Respectfully” and “Aces,” a collaboration with Idris Elba, Connor Price, and 4Korners, adding to his more than 30 million global streams to date. Additionally, he was named a Canadian artist to watch by ELLE Canada and NOW Toronto as well as a favorite TikTok creator by BET. Along the way, the young creative has built a supportive community of nearly 3 million flowers across platforms as he aims to not only tell his own story with his unapologetic openness, but connect directly with his fans over their shared experiences.
